Ryoko Oikawa (及川リョウコ Oikawa Ryōko) is one of the main characters of Next Generation: Pokémon Fairytales series. She is a new Junior Pokémon Trainer student in the Pokemon Special Talent Academy. She is a Level 4 Magician and has the ability to foretell the future, something that is considered only unique to the Oracle. She is the youngest daughter of Hiroshi Oikawa and Rukia Natsume and the younger sister of Kyouhei Oikawa. Although, despite being the youngest, she is notably taller than her older brother which most people notice of.
She at first did not want to join the Magus Theater Club, but after seeing Roku's fail attempt to invite her to join she thought it would be fun to join the club and eventually joins it, much to Kyouhei's dismay.

Ryoko is the youngest daughter of Hiroshi Oikawa and Rukia Natsume and is also the younger sister of Kyouhei. Ryoko was born weak and often getting sick very easily, which would often make Kyouhei worried about her all the time. Despite this, Ryoko puts up a strong face all time, not wanting her older brother worrying her. She gets very well with her brother and her cousin, Roku Rokudo and the three would often play together as a child. Like all members of the Magus Theater Club, Ryoko was born with the Earth Seal of the Akashic Records infused by Satoshi on her birth.
However, when she went out with her mother from shopping and on the way home, a speeding and uncontrollable truck is about to hit Rukia. Ryoko, notices this, pushes her mother out of the way and ends up getting hit by the truck as a result. Although while it isn't fatal, Ryoko suffers major injuries by the hit and was ran to the hospital. After being hit, the Earth Seal activated and making her the fifth one to activating her Akasha powers.
Ryoko would recover from her injuries from the hit, but as a result of activating the Akashic Records, Ryoko loses the memory about her getting in a hit-and-run accident. Because of this incident what made Kyouhei becomes protective and more worried about Ryoko.
